The Fuhrer was not the first leader to talk about
the concept of Greater Germany. The notion was there for more than two
centuries now. The Post world War Germany has been under the tutelage of the
Western capitalist cabal who stripped her of political and geoeconomics
ambitions. Not anymore!
History records that the concept of Greater Germany
began in and around 1815, consequent to the Congress of Vienna when a loose
grouping of sovereign states speaking mainly German language was formed to
replace the Holy Roman Empire. This association was called German Confederation (Deutscher Bund).
But uncertainties remained as to texture and tenor
of this confederation giving rise to division and debates leading towards German
Unification under the leadership of Prussia culminating as North German
Confederation (Norddeutscher Bund) in 1867. However Austria which was the
second largest German speaking country was excluded from this confederation. In any case by 1871 the Greater
German Empire came into being under the Kaisers.
When the Third Reich was formed on January 30,
1933, Adolf Hitler became the Chancellor of Germany. He was keen to unite all German
speaking countries under one flag. On March 12, 1938, German troops rolled into Vienna unopposed and that too
amid applause by the Viennese. The victory lap was done on the following
day when the Fuhrer visited his place of birth. Austria is now part of the
German Empire.
It is a great tragedy that unfolded upon Germany
when the Fuhrer lost the Second World War. The revenging powers of
Anglo-Americans made short work of Berlin and many other German cities. Yet the thirst for the Greater
Germany still lingers.
Even today the status of German language and culture remains strong. German is an official language in six European countries with highest concentration of speakers in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. More than 135 million people speak Germany as the first or second language in Europe. In fact the EU Secretariat functions using German as the main official language.
Language and culture apart it is Geoeconomics that
bestow the big thrust to the German speaking universe. Let me mention the power
of Germany. It took only 41 days for the Wehrmacht to break through the Maginot line by outflanking
it via Belgium.
My Submission
As the largest trading nation in the European theatre
with the exception of Russia, Germany is understandably proud of her technology
being the key denominator for her success. It is time to translate this success
to bring about, once again, the concept of Greater Germany. And it is the duty
of the German speaking people to realize the dream of Gross Deutschland (Großdeutschland)
of the Great Fuhrer.
Navigating strategy amid geoeconomics it behoves the present rulers of Germany to achieve Gross Deutschland ASAP!
Cheers!
