When would Germany cease to carry the war guilt?

This is the question for which I am soliciting an answer for a long time. Regrettably, what I get is lot of excuses from the Germans the inheritors of proverbial Prussian Pride. In today’s context,

Germany as a major economic power has to come out of this collective guilt consciousness.

A brief review of the past events is as follows:

At the conclusion of WWI Treaty of Versailles was signed on June 28, 1919. It imposed harsh terms on Germany, including territorial losses, military restrictions, and the requirement to pay reparations for war damages, infamously assigning "War Guilt" to Germany. Few highlights of the damnation are:

1. Germany has to surrender about 10% of its territory in Europe and all of its overseas colonies to neighbours and victors

2. Germany was mandated to accept full responsibility for causing WW I

3. Germany was forced to pay massive reparations to the victorious powers

4. Finally, German army was downsized, navy restricted, air force forbidden to fly and the rump country even being shut out from her resource rich Rhineland.

The anger and resentment arising from the Treaty of Versailles helped fuel the rise of National Socialists led by Adolf Hitler that led the path to WW II once more. After the gruelling war Hitler’s forces surrendered to allied powers on May 8, 1945. Apparently there were two dates of surrender: Firstly German forces formally surrendering on May 7, 1945, in Reims, France. Secondly, at the insistence of the Soviet Union there was a follow-up surrender in Berlin on May 8, 1945.

This time Allied Powers sought the assistance of international courts to establish Germany's responsibility for the war crimes including mass murder committed by Hitler’s forces not on the German rulers but sadly upon the entire German population.

Today Germany carries this humongous burden of guilt for both World Wars!

Who can help Germany to lessen the burden of this collective guilt let alone declare final atonement? Since the end of WWII German leaders looked upon the West to do that. Disappointedly, Germany has become an American vassal state in G7, NATO and the American led cabal of Globo Capitalists. Supposed to be the engine of European economic marvel, Germany is forced to subsidise countries like Greece and associations like European Union.

My Submission

Navigating strategy amid geoeconomics, I suggest Germany to craft a strategy leveraging her geoeconomics clout to look beyond Western Europe to Middle East, Russia, the Far East and of course to the global south consisting of Africa, Latin America and the ASEAN.

That should bring her towards abatement of the so-called war-guilt and absolve her of so-called collective guilt assigned upon her by the West!

Cheers!
